STONE RIDGE, NY – Fresh off of their 10-0 blowout victory against Borough of Manhattan Community College, Women's Soccer played their first of three straight on the road against non-conference opponent Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders. Senators would defeat the Raiders by a score of 1-0.
 
It was a hard-fought battle from start to finish. Sophie Santiago scored the only goal of the contest, assisted by Achaia Gindel. Santiago has scored a total of five goals in four games for the Senators. With the win, the Senators improve to (3-1-1) on the year.
 
"Away games are always challenging," said head coach Gerardo Martinez. "You have a long trip and you play at a venue that you are not used to. The team has come to learn how to get the result regardless of the circumstances; this is what happened last game. Defensively we were solid and we took advantage of the goal opportunities that we had."
 
The Senators will travel to Queensbury, NY on Saturday, September 24, to take on SUNY Adirondack. Kick off time for that contest is 4:00 p.m.
