Ulster Women's Basketball is Back!

The Womens Basketball team finished (2-1) on the road over a three game week! The Senators started off playing Division 1 opponent Monroe Mustangs in New Rochelle, NY on Thursday night. The Senators had a slow start in the first half and Monroe took advantage. The Senators fought back in the second half but it was a little far too late for the comeback. Bryanna Sanders led the way for the Senators with 20pts, 5 assists and 1 rebound. Maria Bacigalupo finished with 12pts and 2 rebounds  and Kaylah Neal having 7pts, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Final Score Monroe 70-Ulster 48

Saturday after the Senators competed against UConn Avery Point in Gorton, CT. The team went right to work from the start of the game winning in reasonable fashion. Final UConn Avery Point 43- Ulster 81.  The Senators had three players to lead the way Kaylah Neal: 18pts, 5ast, 2rebs; Bryanna Sanders: 26pts, 5ast, 3rebs; Kyala Askew: 10pts, 6rebs.

The final stop was Sunday to SUNY Adirondack and the Senators had no problem taking care of business and closing out yet another win with the final score being 73-25. Leading scores for the Senators second win of the season were: Bryanna Sanders- 19pts, 4ast, 1reb,1blk; Kaylah Neal-18pts, 4ast, 2rebs, 4stls; Kalia Hylton-Jackson- 13pts, 1ast, 6rebs.

Coach Taylor said, "I'm happy for the program it's headed in the direction. The team works extremely hard on and off the court. We have to stay humble, coachable and consistent the rest of the way. 

The Senators are now preparing for their 1st conference opponent away on Thursday night against SUNY Westchester (2-2).
