Box Score SUNY Ulster men's soccer improves to 2-0 in conference play (2-2 overall) after defeating SUNY Orange 3-0 at home Thursday afternoon. Ulster opened the scoring in the second minute with a throw in assist by Rylie Lake (Ellenville) to Wes Cruz (Ellenville) who beat two defenders and scored in the upper net. Both teams exchanged punches throughout the first half with the score remaining 1-0 to Ulster. Ulster opened the second half scoring with a second goal from Wes Cruz (Ellenville) in the 57th minute and an assist from Tyrique Wooten (Ellenville). Ulster quickly struck again in the 59th minute with a goal Rylie Lake (Ellenville) on an assist from Jeffery Kiluba (Red Hook).
Ulster's goal keeper Osvaldo Lopez-Arango kept the kept the clean sheet with an impressive penalty kick save in the 83rd minute as Ulster would go on to win 3-0.
Ulster takes on non conference opponent Kingsborough CC next Thursday at home at 4pm.
