The Senators opened up Region XV play on Thursday by knocking off SUNY Sullivan 12-4 at Tony Williams Park.
Keven Franco went 6.2 innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits. The win moves Franco to 2-0 on the season. The Senators offense came alive in the middle innings and put together thirteen hits on the day.
AJ Gonzalez and
Mariano Poll each had two run homers for the Senators who moved to 8-5 overall on the season.
Kelvin Gutierrez added three hits and two runs batted in on the day.
The bullpen was strong, allowing no hits in 1.1 innings of work. Game two of the series has been postponed due to the weather and moved to SUNY Sullivan on Sunday, April 7th, 12pm start time. SUNY Ulster will be the home team.
The team will now return to action when they travel to SUNY Sullivan on Saturday for a 12pm doubleheader.
