Dietz Stadium -- Ulster men's soccer battled to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night at Dietz Stadium in Kingston with Middlesex CC of Edison, NJ.
Ulster controlled the pace of play throughout the match but was ultimately unable to find the net in a tightly contested defensive match-up. Timmy Ruzzo (Kingston) and Kelvin Nunez (Fallsburg) steadied the tempo of the game in the middle of the park for Ulster, who saw the majority of the possession of play.
One of Ulster's best chances came in the second half as Liam Mckeon (Onteora) struck the inside of the post only to see it trickle along the goal line to be cleared away.
Ulster was stout defensively for the third consecutive match and limited Middlesex to few meaningful chances on Justin Dunikowski's (Wallkill) net. Dylan Russell (Pine Bush) was able to join the attacking play from his outside back position, especially in the second, to create dangerous Ulster attacks.
Ulster men's soccer is back in action on Thursday, September 12 at 4pm as the team travels to SUNY Orange for a conference match. Ulster will return home next Monday, September 16 at 4pm as Fulton-Montgomery visits campus.
