SUNY Ulster Men’s Soccer Uses Late Surge in Win Over Fulton-Montgomery

Box Score Stone Ridge, NY —  Wes Cruz (Ellenville)and Liam Mckeon (Onteora)scored goals in the final 10 minutes of play to push SUNY Ulster Men's Soccer to a 2-0 home victory over Fulton-Montgomery on Monday afternoon. 

After 83 minutes of play, Ulster was finally able to break through as Edgar Garcia (FDR) delivered a driven cross for Wes Cruz to rise above the defender and head home the lead. 

Just 5 minutes later, Liam Mckeon doubler the lead with a booming strike into the back of the net. Again, Garcia would record the assist.

Justin Dunikowski (Wallkill) recorded 3 saves for the Senators in the shutout win. Ulster out shot Fulton-Montgomery 11-6 in the contest with 5 of the strikes on frame. 
Ulster also had the edge in corners 4-1.

Ulster improves to 3-2-1 (W-L-T) overall and remains 2-0 in conference play with the win. Fulton-Montgomery falls to 1-4 overall.  The team is back in action on Friday as the Senators travel to Monroe College for a 7PM Region XV match.
