Ulster Baseball Opens Season with a Win

SUNY Ulster Baseball team opened their 2020 season with a doubleheader split at Union County College.  In the opener, the Senators cruised to a 10-1 victory.  Freshman Justin Ventura lead the Senators with 4 hits, including 2 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored.  Freshman Hunter Traenckle also added 3 hits hits and 3 rbi's.

Freshman pitcher Josh Vega got the start in the opener and pitched 4 innings, allowing 1 earned run, and 2 hits.  Vega added 9 strikeouts to help lead the team to their first victory of the season.
