STONE RIDGE, NY – The SUNY Ulster Men's Basketball team will look to rebound from a tough 2021-22 season in which they went 1-17. Coach McKinney returns one player from last year's team, sophomore Ian Jabateh who averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds for the Senators.
Coach McKinney added a talented group of freshmen as well as an experienced transfer point guard to the mix during the offseason. Sophomore AJ Piedra comes to the program from ASA College in Brooklyn, NY.
"AJ brings solid experience to the program, and I expect him to have an impact this season" said Coach McKinney.
The freshman class for the Senators has a mix of local talent, speed, size, and athleticism. "We really love this class that we brought in, and all of them will play a significant role this season," said Coach McKinney.
