STONE RIDGE, NY – Men's Basketball entered the 2022-2023 season at home Thursday night against non-conference opponent UCONN Avery Point. Senators would surpass 100 points in this matchup, defeating Avery Point 106-84.
Senators had a total of 5 players score in double figures in this contest. Sophomore guard AJ Piedra led the way for the Senators with 17 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Jamik Carter chipped in with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Osman Murrilo added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Big man Youssouf Sissako was huge inside for the Senators, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Cade Lindhorst added 15 points off of the bench. Senators improve to 1-0 on the season.

The Senators are back in action Saturday, November 5th at Columbia Greene Community College. Tip-off is at 1pm.
