Stone Ridge, NY – SUNY Ulster Baseball completed the 2022 season with a 19-16 overall record (.543%). Senators were above .500 in conference play as well, finishing with an 11-8 (.579%) record. Senators went 6-7 in home contests and 8-8 in away contest. Senators performed exceptionally well in neutral contests, finishing 5-1 for the year.
Senators hit their stride in April, winning 12 games throughout the month. Their victories include doubleheader sweeps against Orange County Community College, Sullivan County Community College, Dutchess Community College, and Westchester Community College.
Senators entered the Region XV tournament as the #3 seed and were matched up against #2 seed Sullivan County. Senators lost their opening matchup to Sullivan County and went on to win 4 straight games, defeating Sullivan County in the championship game to win their third straight Region XV championship. Senators would fall to Sullivan County in the NJCAA Division II East District Tournament, which ultimately ended their season.
Six Senators were named to the Region XV Division II Baseball All-Region Team.
Trevor Adamo and
Gerard Santos were honored on the first team.
Rafael Figuereo,
Austin Napoli, and
Nick Classie were honored on the second team.
Jared Yalon received the Gold Glove award, and Adamo was honored with the sportsmanship award. Adamo, Classie, and Figuereo also received first-team Mid-Hudson Conference honors for the year.
