Ulster Men's Soccer began their season at home on Sunday against non-conference opponent Tompkins Cortland Community College. Senators would defeat Tompkins Cortland by a score of 8-2.
The Senators jumped out to an early lead, scoring four goals by the end of the first period.
Javier Rodriguez caught fire early, scoring the first three goals of the contest.
Anthony Murcia would then go on to score right before the half, giving the Senators a 4-0 edge.
The Senators would carry their momentum over to the second period.
Jesus Martinez would score at the 51:00 mark, followed by two goals by
Modou Badjie, extending the score to 7-0.
Javier Rodriguez would then go on to score the final goal of the contest for the Senators at the 64:00 mark.
Senators held the edge on overall shots 17-4, as well as shots on goal 11-2, and corners 7-1.
Cody Baker finished with 2 saves for the day.
Eduardo Romero finished with 1.
Senators will return to action on Saturday, September 3 against Hudson Valley Community College at home. Start time is 1:00pm.
