3 Peat Complete!

Ulster win 3rd straight Mid-Hudson Conference Championship!
The Senators would dominate possession from the start of the match.
Sophomore defender Dantae McDonald (Jamaica) would open the scoring in the 24th min on a beautiful shot to the upper net, assisted by Imari Harris (Kingston).  Ulster continued to create opportunities, but were unable to convert.  Rockland would find the equalizer on a set piece just before halftime in the 44th min.  The score remained 1-1 at the half.  The second half was all Ulster.  The Senators continued to dictate play, in the 58th min Ashaasea Sankofa (Salesian) would put Ulster ahead 2-1, again assisted by Harris.  The Senators then added a third goal just a minute later when EJ Lazo's (Washingtonville) cross put Owen Canjura (North Rockland) in on goal, Canjura held off the defender, placed it past the keeper, then celebrated with his teammates in the corner.  Imari Harris (Kingston) would make it 4-1 in the 70th min on an assist from Eduardo Romero-Gutierrez (Arlington).  In the 73rd min Josh Rivera (NFA) added the 5th on a great strike from outside the box and Renzo Scanu (Wallkill) would close out the scoring in the 82nd min on a perfectly placed free kick from just outside the box.  Cody Baker (Kingston) started in goal and made 1 save, he was replaced late by Jack Scanlon (Onteora).  Ulster improved their overall record to 10-1-2, they also moved up to #7 in the most recent national poll.

The win gives Ulster their 3rd straight Mid-Hudson Conference Championship.  During this three span Ulster are undefeated in conference play with a 15-0 record.  The last time the program won three straight conference championships was 2000, 2001, 2002 under legendary coach George Vizvary.
Next up...The Senators prepare for the Regional Tournament.  They currently hold the #3 seed and are in position to host a regional quarterfinal game on 10/19.  Details TBD.
