Ulster cruise into Region Semi-Final by defeating BMCC 5-0.
The Senators got off to a quick start, when just two minutes into the game Mohamed Fadl (North Rockland) stole the ball, beat a defender and toe poked it past the keeper, giving Ulster a 1-0 lead.  Both teams battled over the next forty minutes with Ulster controlling most possession, but BMCC found opportunities also, forcing Ulster keeper Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) to make 3 key saves.  Ulster would strike again just before the half, Andrew Foster (Kingston) headed a corner kick back across the goal that blasted home by Luke Lanzalaco (Monroe-Woodbury) giving Ulster a 2-0 lead that they would take into halftime.   The Senators would start the second half just like the first half.  Just three minutes in, a set piece served in by Antony Pesantez (North Rockland) was volleyed in by Andrew Foster (Kingston) giving Ulster a 3-0 lead.  The Senators would make it 4-0 in the 80th minute when Sergio Gonzalez (Pine Bush) beat the keeper on an assist from Carlos Turcois-Perez (Monroe-Woodbury).  Turcois Perez then made it 5-0 in 90th minute when he headed home a cross from Matt Urqia (Ellenville).  Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) made 5 saves on the day.  The #7 nationally ranked Senators improve to 12-2-2 overall.  

Next up... Region XV Semi-Final this Wednesday, October 29th at Rondout Valley High School, 8pm kickoff.  The #2 seed Senators will take on #6 seed Kingsborough CC.  These two teams drew 0-0 during the regular season.
