Ulster dominate Bronx CC 10-0 for 4th straight win.

The Senators opened the scoring right away as Steven Hernandez (NFA) played in Sergio Gonzalez (Pine Bush) who beat the keeper in the 1st minute of play.  Ten minutes later Antony Pesantez (North Rockland) blasted a shot from deep, catching the keeper of his line and giving Ulster a 2-0 lead.  Pesantez then made a 3-0 on a bent in free kick from just outside the box.  Ten minus later Pesantez set up Gabe Auringer (Trinity-Pawling) to make it 4-0.  Max Maouris (Kingston) then scored on a free kick in the 37th minute to make it 5-0.  Ulster would take a 5-0 lead into halftime.  The second half was more of the same, the Senators controlled possession and made it 6-0 in the 49th minute when Jack Moore (England) found the back of the net, assisted by Andrew Foster (Kingston).  Nick Thomaz (NFA) picked up a loss ball and dribble past the keeper scoring in an open net in the 55th minute.  Luke Lanzalaco (Monroe-Woodbury) made it 8-0 in the 58th minute, assisted by Pat Fornelos (John Jay).  Gabe Auringer would then pick up 2 assists in 2 minutes, first finding Pat Fornelos (John Jay) then swinging in a corner kick, headed home by Luke Lanzalaco (Monore-Woodbury) to make it 10-0.  The game was called in the 70th minute.  (New mercy rule - game is called in 70th min if team is up 8 or more goals)  Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) started in goal and made 1 save on the day, earning his 4th shutout of the season.  The win improves Ulster's record to 10-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play.

Next up....Regular season finale.  The Senators head to Brooklyn to take on Kingsborough CC this Saturday, October 11th for a 1pm kickoff.
Playoff details are still up in the air going into this last weekend of play, the Senators are battling for top spot in Region 15 and home field for the Mid-Hudson Conference Championship.  More details coming soon.
