Ulster took control of the game early, controlling possession and creating opportunities. They would open the scoring in the 27th minute when Pat Fornelos (John Jay) found the back of the net on an assist from
Steven Hernandez (NFA). Ten minutes later,
Andrew Foster's (Kingston) header would make it 2-0 on an assist from Pat Fornelos (John Jay).
Gabe Auringer (Trinity-Pawling) would come on as a substitute and make an immediate impact, scoring in the 40th and 42nd minute, on assists from
Sergio Gonzalez (Pine Bush) and
Joe Maloney (Saugerties). Ulster led 4-0 at the half. The Senators got off to a quick start in the second half,
Jack Moore (England) beat the keeper in the 46th minute on a ball played through by
Max Maouris (Kingston). Pat Fornelos (John Jay) would find his second goal in the 60th minute on an
Andrew Foster (Kinston) assist and five minutes later Ulster would make it 7-0 when
Jack Moore (England) unselfishly assisted
Luke Lanzalaco (Monroe-Woodbury) who passed it into an open net.
Santiago Saavedra started in goal and made 3 saves on the day. The win puts Ulster at 6-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 in conference.
Ulster remained #7 in this week's national rankings.
