Ulster score 5 to secure road win at Monroe Bronx.

The Senators improved to 2-0 on the season after scoring another five goals on the road at Monroe Bronx Express.  Caleb Nicolas (Washingtonville) opened the scoring in the 15th min on a low driven shot to beat the keeper.  Ulster doubled their lead in the 39th minute when Andrew Foster (Kingston) found the back of the net on an assist from Matt Urquia (Ellenville).  The Senators would take their 2-0 lead into halftime.  Monroe pounced on an Ulster mistake in the 52nd minute and cut the lead to 2-1.  Ulster responded six minutes later when Andrew Foster (Kingston) scored his second on another assist from Matt Urquia (Ellenville) giving Ulster a 3-1 lead.  Monroe sustained some good possession, but Ulster would make it 4-1 in the 72nd minute when Matt Urquia (Ellenville) served up his third assist of the game setting up Caleb Nicolas (Washingtonville) for his second goal on the day.  Monroe continued to find possession in the midfield and cut the lead to 4-2 in the 80th minute.  Ulster added one more to make it 5-2 in the 89th minute when Jack Moore (England) found himself in the perfect spot after a save from the Monroe keeper.  Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) started in goal and made 10 saves on the day.  The win marks Ulster's first victory at Monroe Express under head coach Jamal Lis-Simmons.  Ulster improves to 2-0 on the season.
Next up…..The Senators open conference play this Thursday, September 4th on the road at Dutchess CC.  7pm kickoff at Millbrook High School.
