This past July, Andy Pelosi was hired to restart the Women's Soccer program at SUNY
Ulster.  The program’s current goal is to field a competitive team for the Fall 2026
season. Our objectives to reach the goal of competing in 2026 will include: 1) offering
drop in soccer this Fall and Winter for registered students interested in playing soccer,
2) active recruitment from area high schools, and 3) potentially holding a multi-sport
camp this coming summer for high school students.  " We are excited to hire Coach
Pelosi, as his background and knowledge of the game are extensive and we look
forward to fielding a team for the fall of 2026”, said Athletic Director, Ryan Snair.

For the last 7 years, Coach Pelosi has coached in the girls’ JV and Varsity program in
the North Salem, NY school district. During this time period his JV teams compiled a
record of 39 wins, 6 ties and 17 losses. He continues his work in the district as the
Assistant Varsity coach where the program has won several league titles and two recent
appearances in the Section 1 finals (winning in 2022 and advancing to the Regionals).
For the last 16 years, Coach Pelosi has also coached girls’ travel teams from the U 6 –
U 19 levels.

Coach Pelosi played Division III soccer at Manhattanville University where he was a
four-year starter and two-time first team All-Suburban Conference player.

Coach Pelosi currently holds several coaching diplomas through the United Soccer
Coaches Association and is working on his D license with US Soccer.

Finally, Coach Pelosi holds a M.S. in Non-Profit Management from The Milano School
of Policy, Management, and Environment, New York, NY and a B.A. in Political Science
from Manhattanville University, Purchase, NY.
