Mary dusted SUNY Ulster's women's volleyball program off bringing the team back to its feet after two years in the dark.
She recalls the program's success winning the Mid-Hudson Conference in 2014 under long-time leader Glenn Warnock. Mary played her two seasons in 2018/19 as a captain on the team coached by Warnock and looks forward to rebuilding the program.
Prior to becoming head coach at Ulster, Sommer led the Rondout Valley women's volleyball team as assistant coach in 2022.
Mary is a 2022 graduate of SUNY New Paltz where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. She earned her associate's degree from SUNY Ulster in individual studies.
Mary lives in Kerhonkson, NY.
