In the Region XV winner take all Championship game on Saturday afternoon, the Ulster Senators completed their Cinderella run to capture the Region XV Baseball Championship over SUNY Rockland. The title is the Senators first since 2004.
Joe DiMarco carried the offense for the Senators with four hits in the championship game.
Mariano Poll put the game out of reach with a long two run home run to secure the 10-4 win.
Brandon Bernard tossed five strong innings for the Senators, allowing two earned runs on three hits for the victory. Branch Cranfield entered the game in the fifth and shutdown the Hawk's hitter, allowing two hits in four innings of work.
With the Championship, the Senators will travel to Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY to take on the Tribunes in a best two out of three District Championship. Days/Times are TBA at this time.
