SUNY Ulster Baseball dropped two, one run games, to visiting SUNY Suffolk on Sunday by scores of 5-4 and 6-5. The Senators battled in both, only to let up the go ahead runs in the last inning of each game.
In game one, the Senators feel behind 4-0 as the entered the bottom half of the 6th inning.Â
Alex Zavala blasted a three run homer to cut the deficit to one, and
Justin Ventura connected on a two run shot to but the Senators up. Ventura had two hit in the game to lead the offensive attack. Starting pitcher, Freddie battled through 5 innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits.Â
Ronnie Gibbs entered in the 6th and allowed one run on two hits to suffer the loss in relief.
In game two,
Jared Yalon blasted a solo shot, and scored two, to pace the Senators at the plate.Â
Ty Orologio added two hits for the Senators who went back and forth with the Sharks all game.Â
Robert Bradley went the distance for the Senators on the mound. He allowed four earned runs on three hits.Â
Ronnie Gibbs entered the game in the 8th inning and took the loss in relief.
With the two losses, the Senators fell to 4-4 on the season. They hit the road on Saturday when they travel to SUNY Nassau for a doubleheader. First pitch set for 12:00PM.
