Ulster Baseball finishes 2-0 in the first day of the Region XV tournament

Games for the Region XV tournament resumed on Sunday after being postponed on Saturday due to weather. Senators took on #4 seed Westchester Community College in the first matchup where they would go on to win 6-4. Austin Napoli led the Senators with 3 hits. Rafael Figuereo and Trevor Adamo added 2 hits in the victory. Adamo led the Senators with the 3 RBIs. Gerard Santos won his matchup, allowing 7 hits and 4 runs.

Senators defeated #1 seed SUNY Rockland in the second matchup of the day by a score of 6-3. Jeffrey Gutierrez and Rafael Figuereo led the Senators with 2 hits. Trevor Adamo led the Senators with 2 RBIs in the victory.

With both victories, Senators qualify for the District Tournament. Senators will take on #2 SUNY Sullivan today at noon. With a victory, they will take on Sullivan again at 4pm for the Region Championship.
