A big time performance by
Imari Harris powers Ulster to a home shutout. The Senators would get off to a fast start Thursday afternoon vs Bronx CC.
Imari Harris (Kingston) would open the scoring in the 7th min when he bent a beautiful free kick into the top corner. Harris would strike again just seconds later, then again in the 15th to complete an impressive first half hat-trick. Just five minutes later
EJ Lazo (Washingtonville) blasted a shot into the top corner on an assist from
Imari Harris (Kingston).
Renzo Scanu (Wallkill) got on the scoresheet in the 37th on an assist from
Jose Lopez (Ellenville). Ulster would take a 5-0 lead into halftime. The Senators continued push forward in the second half.
Owen Canjura (North Rockland) was dangerous all game on the right wing and converted an impressive one vs one with the keeper in the 52nd minute.
Luis Torres (Kingston) would close out the scoring in the 79th minute on a beautiful cross from
Jason Ramirez-Perez (Kingston). The Ulster backline was strong all game.
Cody Baker (Kingston) started in goal for the Senators and was replaced by Jackson Scanlon (Onteora) in the second half, both made one save on the day. Freshman Captain,
Imari Harris (Kingston) would finish the day with 3 goals and 2 assists. This is Harris's second hat-trick of the season, he currently leads the team with 6 goals.
Next up...Ulster will host Orange CC, Thursday 9/14 in their second conference game of the season. Kickoff is 4pm on Ulster's campus.
