The Senators fought hard for their fourth straight conference championship, but it just wasn't meant to be.  Both teams battled for the first 20 minutes to gain control of the game, Westchester would open the scoring in the 25th min when a shot from the top of the box would find the back of the net. The remainder of the half saw both teams create opportunities, but the score would remain 1-0.  Ulster would start the second half strong, just three minutes in, Imari Harris (Kingston) would find Mohamed Fadl (North Rockland) who blasted a shot past the keeper to tie the score 1-1.  Both teams continued to exchange punches and Ulster keeper Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) made three big point blank saves to keep the Senators in the game.  Westchester was then awarded a free kick in the 60th min and capitalized with a quick pass and shot that would hit the far post and go in, giving Westchester a 2-1 lead.  Ulster pushed hard for the equalizer and created a few good opportunities, but after a shot off the post and a few good saves from the Westchester keeper, it just wasn't their night.  The score would end 2-1 to the visitors.  Saavedra made 5 saves for Ulster.  This marks the Senators first loss to a conference opponent since 2019 and stopped their bid for a 4th straight conference title.

Next up....Region 15 Playoffs.  The Senators will travel to Borough of Manhattan this Saturday for a Region 15 quarter final.  Kickoff is 1pm at Pier 40.
