Biography
Mary Sommer is returning to SUNY Ulster for her third semester and is an Individual Studies major. She is planning on graduating with her Associates and intends to transfer to SUNY New Paltz and obtain her Bachelors in Psychology. Mary hopes to one day be a guidance counselor and work in a high school. Mary was the captain of the Rondout Valley Women’s Volleyball team her senior year and played as a defensive specialist and setter her previous years. Mary achieved the honor of 2018 Female Athlete of the Year and 2018 Female Scholar of the Year. She works as a waitress at the High Falls Café and is a camp counselor in the summer and enjoys playing solitaire between classes. She is the daughter of Michael and Regina Sommer.
