Ulster fall in the Region Final 2-0 to Suffolk. 
On a windy day in Long Island, the Senators did not have the start they were looking for.  Just two minutes in, a ball over top found a Suffolk winger who beat the keeper giving the home team an early 1-0 lead.  Ulster responded with some good possession of their own and nearly tied the game minutes later when a deep shot from Antony Pesantez (North Rockland) was headed to the upper corner, but was saved by the Suffolk keeper.  Ulster created a few other half chances, but were unable to convert.  The score remained 1-0 at halftime.  The Senators again found some good possession in the second half as they pushed hard for equalizer, but as the they sent numbers forward more space was left in the back.  In the 50th minute, Suffolk took advantage of the space and doubled their lead 2-0.  Ulster continued to fight to get back in the game. Pesantez had a volley and a free kick just miss wide.  Andrew Foster (Kingston) tried to curl one in with his right foot, but also missed wide.  Ulster continued to push numbers forward.  Caleb Nicolas (Washingtonville) found space near end line and played a dangerous ball across the box that found  Nick Thomaz (NFA) who's point blank shot was somehow saved by the Suffolk keeper.  The Senators fought until the last minute, but it just wasn't their day, the game would end 2-0.  Ulster keeper, Santiago Saavedra (Pine Bush) made 3 saves in the day.  Ulster's season ends with an overall record of 13-3-2.
Coach Lis-Simmons "Tough way for the season to end.  Our guys gave everything they had, it just wasn't our day.  I'm extremely proud of everything the group accomplished both on the field and off.    These players raised the bar for our program and set a new standard for our players moving forward.  And a huge thank you to our 12 sophomores for their dedication to our program over the last two years.  They will all be missed."
